This album is dedicated to György Ligeti
HaDi and I have both been inspired and artistically influenced by Gyorgy Ligeti long before we joined together to form La Ponto Ensemblo- in fact, Ligeti’s music is one of the things that brought us together in the first place.
Ligeti has been recognized as one of the driving forces in avant-garde composition in the late 20th. Century- his creation of Tone Clusters, and Web of Sound have reached beyond classical structure into modern jazz.
We crafted this album in the spirit of Ligeti- the music is all La Ponto Ensemblo.
